Opinions are a Dangerous thing: Art StylesThis isn't about narking on anyone no, infact this is just my own muses really! You could say this is a journal for ENCOURAGEMENT! *SHINES*
I find sticking to one style restrictive if you are a beginning/moderate artist! (even professionals I might say! though I can't speak for everyone)
Having a distinctive look on how your art is done and produced is understandable and its a desire to appear unique to the point some one can just SEE your work and instantly think 'Oh! that's Ten-days!' or something along the line. However, when you are trying to find who you are and what kind of art you are to produce, I recommend trying, well, a lot of different things! Different styles, mixing styles, different colouring techinque, brushes, tools, shading. Don't feel dependant on what you are already doing and don't feel pressured by people just for trying new things!
Push out of your comfort zone. Can't draw hands? don't avoid it! draw the heck out of them! (how else are you going to learn?)

It's really choppy and suuuuuper scribbly because I took like 30 seconds to draw each frame. Please fill in the gaps and gloss over the art with your wonderful imagination! I made it in Windows Movie Maker which is an absolutely evil program =o=

Hi guys! Hope your holidays are going well!
I've been having trouble drawing lately--or maybe it just feels that way to me because I'm used to sketching all the time and being productive
thought maybe organizing some features might inspire me a bit!
Also, I'm trying to get in the habit of doing these every month or so since features were so scarce last year ;;

also please feel free to comment and recommend artists to me ; 7 ; I just cleared out my watch and unwatched like 500 people (I've had this same dA account for 9 years so most of those unwatches were inactive/moved accounts ;; ) and I feel like I always feature some of the same people!! // so let me know if you've someone who inspires you whom you'd like to share!
